Who We Are
Accubooks Ltd is a company offering highly professional bookkeeping and accounting services to businesses in the Sussex area and beyond. Accubooks as an entity has existed since 2007 and incorporated in 2010. The owner and founder of the business is Alister Curran. Alister is a full member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) and the company holds an ICB Practice Licence, which means that it is fully regulated by the ICB. Suitable professional indemnity insurance is in place, which is a requirement of the Practice Licence.

The fundamental ethos of Accubooks from the outset has always been to ensure the absolute accuracy and integrity of our clients' accounting records. In addition to that, we place huge importance on making the accounts mean something to our clients. Yes, accounting has a lot to do with compliance and all business owners need to be assured that they are fully compliant with tax and other regulations. However, what really matters, what really fuels the entrepreneurial spirit, what really sharpens the focus, is a proper understanding of the numbers that underpin the financial success (or otherwise!) of the business. Our aim is to put the proper reporting systems in place to enable business owners to fully grasp how their business has performed in the past and what current trends indicate as to future performance.
